You don’t get more South African than FHM Model 2010 winner Charne’ Jade, Born in Durban, Natal and schooled in Pietermaritzburg, studied in Cape Town and now settled in Johannesburg. This 23 year old up coming model says 2010 wasn’t just a defining year for South Africa but also for herself and her career.

Charne’ was first scouted on holiday in Cape Town’s Canal Walk shopping centre at the age of 14. Approached by an agency and not being able to accept the offer being based in Pietermaritzburg at the time, she was encouraged to enter as many competitions and attend modeling school, which she did in and around Natal and Johannesburg until she matriculated and moved to Cape Town.

Charne’ concentrated on her Business Management and Entrepreneurship studies but still kept one foot in the modeling door, she was crowned Face of Avroy Shlain cosmetics in 2006 and appeared as the leading lady in musician Jacques Terre ‘Blanches’ music video, “She Don’t Care” in October that year. That is when life took a turn in both Jacques and Charne’s lives. The two have been dating ever since. Only a few months later and shortly after Charne’ finished up her studies, she moved to Johannesburg to be closer to Jacques. Charne’ has taken the title as FHM Model 2010; Appeared as Miss May in Locally Whipped magazines 2010 Calendar, she was placed 3rd in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Woman in the World 2010, Is the leading lady in Crazy White Boys number 1 hit – Love You Better Music Video, Was one of the 2010 Top 10 finalists in Triumph Lingerie Model and has more recently come back from the FHM 2011 Calendar Shoot in Bazaruto, Mozambique. 2010 has been an explosive year in many aspects and Charne’ says she looks forward to tackling her career a few steps further in 2011. Charne’ is signed to Shashi Naidoo’s modeling agency, Alushi .
